How to misplay jack-ten 101

An interesting little hand that occurred in a SNG that I've just played... they've been quite frustrating of recent in that I've played well enough but have hit ridiculous bad luck in and around the bubble of recent (four outers, three outers, someone who was clearly stealing deciding to call my huge reraise with A-8 and hitting the river, losing key coinflips, that kind of thing). Anyway, I can't think how this guy could have played the J-T any worse:

PokerStars Game #2192233121: Tournament #10532043, Hold'em No Limit - Level II (15/30) - 2005/07/26 - 14:39:31 (ET)
Table '10532043 1' Seat #5 is the button
Seat 1: Player A (1285 in chips)
Seat 2: Player B (3460 in chips)
Seat 3: Player C (1025 in chips)
Seat 4: Player D (1085 in chips)
Seat 5: Player E (2080 in chips)
Seat 6: Me (sb) (1640 in chips)
Seat 8: Player F (bb) (620 in chips)
Seat 9: Idiot (2750 in chips)
Me (sb): posts small blind 15
Player F (bb): posts big blind 30
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to Me (sb) [Qc As]
Idiot: calls 30
Player A: folds
Player B: folds
Player C: folds
Player D: folds
Player E: calls 30
Me (sb): calls 15
- was tempted to raise and probably should have, but I'd be out of position for the rest of the hand, particularly to Idiot who's big stacked and limped UTG, so I opted for a discreet call.
Player F (bb): checks
*** FLOP *** [Td Ah Tc]
Me (sb): bets 90
- I bet 3/4 of the pot, with the intention of folding to any raise that isn't the minimum, and slowing down if called
Player F (bb): folds
Idiot: calls 90
- When you see his hand, you'll question why the hell he didn't raise
Player E: folds
*** TURN *** [Td Ah Tc] [Ac]
Me (sb): bets 150
- Down to two handed, and jackpot. If he's got the ace it's a chop-up, otherwise I've got him trapped
Idiot: calls 150
*** RIVER *** [Td Ah Tc Ac] [Ad]
- hello, runner-runner quads. Now he must surely have a ten or some other irrelevant pocket pair. I'll just make a smallish bet to try to get a call
Me (sb): bets 210
Idiot: calls 210
*** SHOW DOWN ***
Me (sb): shows [Qc As] (four of a kind, Aces)
Idiot: mucks hand
Me (sb) collected 1020 from pot
Player D said, "vnh"
*** SUMMARY ***

- yes, I can't beat the board but I'll call a river bet anyway. Cheers.

Needless to say it all went horribly wrong just before the final table, when as the billy low stack of around 3K, hit jacks to go to 4K busting someone, then hovering around with all-in steals (blinds 100/200 a25), before hitting genuine cards with 10-10, doing the same thing before someone wakes up behind me with A-K and hits. I've just got him covered but I only have one and a bit big blinds so I get A-J next hand and some nob makes a straight with 8-5 or some junk. Bollocks.

I got that job that I interviewed for, no surprises there. Heard nothing from the other place so I can assume I didn't get that one as it starts on Monday. Have been playing with bittorrent a bit, nice toy really. DLed the Super Metroid soundtrack and recalled what a bloody great game that is (my comments on it are available near the start of the Feb 05 archive). That's about it for the time being.
